The Red Sea - a wonder of nature

On Europeans view, the Red Sea is the next tropical sea and therefore a perfect destination for divers all over the world. Because of special attributes, which can not be find anywhere else, the Red Sea is nonrecurring.
It is a pool, which is closed in northern direction from the Gulf of Aqaba and in southern direction from the street of Bab el Maneb.

The Red Sea belongs to the pacific. The difference is, that 20 to 30% of the fish species are endemical.

One more  speciality of the Red Sea is the variety of the coral reefs - until now more than 400 different kinds of corals are scientifically proven.

This, in compare small sea, is 2.600 km long. The widest  location before Ethiopia is only 400 km. But there were found very deep positions, where the water temperature is 30°. This is caused by vulcanic activity in the sea ground.   

Remarkable is the regular drift: in winter in northern direction and in summer in southern direction. Tides do not exist.

Coral reefs are one of  solid ecosystems. They have the capability to regenerate and the relation between them and other inhabitants of the reef are in balance.  

Sombody reasons, that this treasure will never disappear. But the use of the Red Sea by people has increased and everybody has to help saving the nature.

If you stand at the street of Suez, you will get an impression of endless lines of cargo-ships, which drive on the Red Sea.  

This ships, especially the big oil-tankers, are a permanent danger for the environment. 

Each oil damage can delete living spaces of thousands of creatures and of course themself.

Also the divers have to assume responsibility for the Red Sea, if they love the sea and use it for their hobby. 

Blessedly the Egypt government has noted the effects of the dive tourism in time. So they built national parks. (for example Ras Mohammed) 

The national parks safe important biological and ecological areas. 

The effects of this national parks could be seen in shortest time. Therefore the dive spots Ras Mohammed, street of Tiran or Carless Reef are the most beautiful ones today - and not only in the Red Sea, also all over the world. 

In the south of Hurghada and Safaga has the Red Sea - although it is near to Europe and well visited by divers - still a piece of secret. Also in Dahab.  

It has very much contrasts and offers unpredictable things. For example Sabargad island, Rocky island or the Brother islands.
