Luxor can be find approximately 500 km in the south of Cairo. Here you can expect very famous archaeological sites: for example the temple of Amon in Karnak with huge statues and obelisks, the famous dale of the kings, where 64 pharaonics are buried, the grave of Amun-Her-Chopeschef or the grave of Ramses II. These ones can also be seen from a hot-air balloon. |

Assuan is especially in winter a beautiful holiday place with countless temples and cloisters. Assuan is mostly well-known because of the Assuan barrage, one of the three biggest over the world. 2 km in the south is Philae, a classic temple, which must move because of the storage lake. Near Assuan can also be find the wonderful temples of Ramses II. |
